The inaugural concert serves as a presentation of that which the audience will have an opportunity to see on the Festival of the Children of Mountains stage in the subsequent days. Every Polish ensemble presented a short preview of their main performance, and the foreign ensembles extended their greetings from the screen.
Dorota Majerczyk and Patryk Rutkowski were awarded certificates of the Polish section of CIOFF, which marked the concert as a special highlight.
Since the final concert will be different than its editions in the previous years, the ceremonial handing of the shepherd's cane over to SĄDECZOKI - the host ensemble of the next year’s edition of the Festival - took place today, and all the ensembles were presented with gifts from the organizers, the Małopolska Province governor and the mayor of Nowy Sącz.
Józef Broda and Krzysztof Trebunia-Tutka acted as the Festival compères. Andrzej Zarych, the head of the SOKÓŁ Małopolska Culture Centre and the Festival director ceremonially opened the Festival.
