We cordially invite you to Nowy Sącz, to the 2nd International Conference Children’s Folklore – Tradition and Contemporariness, which will take place 23-24 July 2018, as an event attendant on the 26th International Festival of Children’s Folk Ensembles FESTIVAL OF THE CHILDREN OF MOUNTAINS. The Polish and foreign speakers will represent such disciplines as ethnography, ethnology, folklore studies, cultural anthropology, ethnomusicology, ethnochoreology, dialectology, pedagogy and cultural studies.
The issues concerned with various aspects of children’s traditional folklore sensu largo, performances of children’s folklore or ways to present it on stage give rise to frequent debates among both domestic and international juries as well as academic and research circles. The discussion of these issues will be addressed in three sessions.
