21 October 2025

The 33rd International Festival of Children's Folk Ensembles FESTIVAL OF THE CHILDREN OF MOUNTAINS will be held on 19-25 July 2026 in Nowy Sącz. We invite you to read the regulations of the event. We are waiting for applications from foreign groups until 31st January 2026.

How did they reap love?

24 July 2025

A fence on the stage. A fence divides, but a fence can also unite, because after all it is one, although seen from two sides. Everyone may see it differently, unless the people living next door invite each other to learn the layout of the knots and grain on the boards from the other side. After all, we can argue that the fence is the way we see it, or we can accept that someone has a right to see it differently and try to see it that way too. But why? To understand... maybe to love... And of course it's not about the fence. It is just a symbol. A symbol of reality.

The participants in the FESTIVAL OF THE CHILDREN OF MOUNTAINS do not only dance and sing - they also get to know our region! This year’s Festival programme includes a visit to Kraków, as well as workshops at the Cogiteon Małopolska Science Centre. On 21 July the Centre was visited by MALI JURKOWIANIE and GERO AXULAR KULTUR TALDEA from the Basque Country - hosts of today's National Day!

The Zagórze Highlanders’ melodies and the Basque rhythms

23 July 2025

The third national day of the 32nd FESTIVAL OF THE CHILDREN OF MOUNTAINS began on the stage in the Stara Sandecja Common, where two exceptional ensembles performed. The Basque GERO AXULAR KULTUR TALDEA enthralled the audience with their energetic rhythms, while MALI JURKOWIANIE presented the enchanting authenticity of the Zagórze traditions. Backstage, the young artists were eager to talk to the media about their traditions and the Festival experiences.
