Love is the most beautiful word in the world
24 July 2026There was a thunderstorm over Nowy Sącz today. Clouds were rolling in from the west as, before midday, the ensembles ŚFABELKI from Trybsz and CROATIA from Zagreb performed excerpts from their evening concerts. A big change this year: these previews are not taking place in the Market Square, as they used to, nor in the Stara Sandecja Common – as they did last year – but in the courtyard of SOKÓŁ MCC. The audience can take advantage of over a hundred comfortable seats, and the children - of the facilities provided by the organisers of the FESTIVAL OF THE CHILDREN OF MOUNTAINS. The latter came in handy on Thursday at midday. It started to rain as the Croatian ensemble were still performing. They bravely finished their act and took shelter from the fierce storm, which nearly swept the ice-cream-shaped balloon away from the lawn in front of the multi-purpose hall on the Kamienica river.
Balkan Rhythms and Spisz Folklore
23 July 2026On Thursday, 23 July, the CROATIA group from Zagreb and ŚFABELKI from Trybsz in Poland performed before the audience in the courtyard of the SOKÓŁ Małopolska Culture Centre. The display showcased the charm of Balkan and Spisz folklore in all its splendour.
There’s no place like home
23 July 2026Wednesday. Today’s ensembles could practically wave to each other every day. The Khulo region lies at the heart of mountainous Adjara, at an altitude of around 1,000 metres above sea level, whereas the comrade town of Zakopane ranges in altitude from 750 to 1,126 metres above sea level.
ARGINETI and MAŁY HOP CUP thrill the crowd
22 July 2026On Wednesday, 22 July, the courtyard of the SOKÓŁ Małopolska Culture Centre filled with music from Georgia and Podhale, thanks to performances by ARGINETI and MAŁY HOP CUP. The audience enjoyed a unique show combined with a delightful display of dancing skill.
