“To receive half a thousand children, well... one would like to open one’s heart to all of them, and that’s what we are doing. We are not able to hug them all at once, although we would like to do that in this fatherly manner...” - said Andrzej Zarych, Director General of SOKÓŁ Małopolska Culture Centre in Nowy Sącz, during a press conference dedicated to the 30th edition of the FESTIVAL OF THE CHILDREN OF MOUNTAINS. The meeting took place on Thursday, 6 July 2023, at the head office of the National Institute of Rural Culture and Heritage in Warsaw.
The conference was attended by: Robert Telus - the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Monika Garnek-Owczarczyk - the deputy director of the National Institute of Rural Culture and Heritage, Dariusz Gawęda - the deputy director of the Department of National Culture and Heritage at the Office of the Małopolska Province Governor, and Andrzej Zarych - the director of SOKÓŁ Małopolska Culture Centre in Nowy Sącz. The conference was run by Patryk Rutkowski - the secretary of the Artistic Committee of the 30th FESTIVAL OF THE CHILDREN OF MOUNTAINS. As the host ensemble of this year’s Festival, PIECUCHY from Nawojowa presented their singing, music, dancing and regional cuisine.
