In 2020, despite the pandemic, the FESTIVAL OF THE CHILDREN OF MOUNTAINS managed to get out of cyberspace and nestled in the municipal space. As part of ‘SOWING’ - the 1st Street Art Plein-Air Session, a mural dedicated to the Festival of Children of Mountains was painted on a building wall in Henryka Sienkiewicza street.
The author of the mural is Raspazjan - one of the most recognizable Silesian artists - who in his works combines futurist visions of imaginary worlds with folk demonology, typography and abstract forms. The muralist is a co-founder of LINEACT drama group and MODRO Foundation. He devotes his free time to photography, graphic design, cultural animation and community work. He organizes alternative trips to the nooks and crannies of Silesian towns and cities... He is a winner of the Silesian Province Governor’s award for artistic achievements. He lives and works in Katowice.
The event was coordinated by Mariusz Brodowski aka Mgr Mors, and the plein-air session was made possible thanks to the cooperation from SOKÓŁ Małopolska Culture Centre and the Nowy Sącz municipality. The Drip Shop company and Ibis Styles hotel in Nowy Sącz were the event partners.
